In the past few years, discussions and implementations of equity in K-12 education have gained momentum. Despite the progress, the adult education sector also demands attention.
Speakers, Angela Parkin of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board and Lynn Garrioch of the Waterloo Catholic District Board, will share effective equitable strategies presently used in adult education. These strategies aim to nurture the entire student, enabling them to achieve their utmost capabilities. The conversation will also highlight the significance of authentic student engagement and voice and its role in promoting equity, inclusivity, and a sense of community.
